The Minnesota POW/MIA Riders Association will host a candlelight vigil at 7 p.m. Sept. 18 atSoldiers Field Veterans Memorial, 300 Seventh St. SW, in Rochester, in honor of POW/MIA Recognition Day. Everyone is welcome to attend the event.

The United States’ National POW/MIA Recognition Day is observed across the nation on the third Friday of September each year. Many Americans take the time to remember those who were prisoners of war and those who are missing in action, as well as their families.

The Minnesota POW/MIA Riders Association made a promise that it will never forget the over 83,000 still missing service members until they all come home.
