John McGinnis of Belle Plaine and Kristin Bangert of Albert Lea announce the engagement of their son, Samuel McGinnis, to Ariel Johnson, daughter of Jule and Wendy Johnson of Waseca.

The groom is the grandson of LeRoy and Phyllis Meyer of DeGraff.

The couple is planning a Sept. 25, 2015, wedding in Waseca.
