NEW LONDON — The parents of a fallen soldier have fulfilled his long-held goal of building a parking lot along a bike trial that’s off a busy highway in central Minnesota.
According to a press release, a dedication will be on Sunday for Spc. Ryane Clark Memorial Park near New London. The parking lot off Minnesota Highway 23 is already accepting cars.
Clark’s parents, Tracy and Rick, said he came up with the idea for the parking lot in 2003. A friend was fatally struck by a car while riding his bike in that area in 1999.
