Pedestrian killed on I-94 in St. Paul

ST. PAUL — The Minnesota State Patrol said a man was struck and killed by a car as he crossed Interstate 94 in St. Paul.
The victim is identified as 54-year-old Munson Walker III. His hometown was not known.
According to a press release, Walker died after being taken to Regions Hospital.
The collision happened just before 11 a.m. Monday in the left eastbound lane, shutting down eastbound traffic. The lanes reopened within an hour.
Neither the 24-year-old St. Paul man driving the Toyota Camry nor his passenger was hurt. The patrol said no alcohol was detected in the driver’s system.
