Police arrest A.L. man wanted for alleged stabbing

Albert Lea police on Saturday arrested the man wanted in connection with an alleged stabbing earlier this month.
Erik Jeremy Hernandez was wanted on a warrant for second-degree assault. He was arrested at 4:09 p.m. Saturday at 104 S. Ermina Ave.
Police were alerted to Hernandez possibly sleeping at a house in Albert Lea. According to the Police Department, Hernandez was planning on leaving for California.
Hernandez allegedly stabbed a 29-year-old man in the back during an argument at 1206 St. Joseph’s Ave. on Sept. 18.
According to court documents, the alleged victim told police he had walked down the steps to talk to Hernandez, and Hernandez swung at him. The alleged victim said he attempted to grab Hernandez before he was cut.
Officers arrested Adam Ly Haas Sept. 19 for aiding and abetting second-degree assault.
