A 62-year-old Chatfield woman was injured Saturday morning in a sideswipe collision on Interstate 90 in eastern Freeborn County.

Susan P. Eisenman was transported by ambulance to Mayo Clinic Health System in Austin for injuries deemed not life-threatening, according to the Minnesota State Patrol.

The report stated Eunice A. Paaverud, 78, of Austin was traveling westbound on Interstate 90 near milepost 172 in a 2015 Honda Civic when her vehicle collided with a 2003 Chevrolet Silverado, driven by Eisenman, also traveling westbound.

Paaverud was not injured.

Both women were wearing their seat belts, according to the State Patrol. Alcohol was not detected.

The crash took place at 11:53 a.m.

The Freeborn County Sheriff’s Office, Hayward Fire Department and Golf Cross Ambulance assisted at the scene.
