Freeborn County is under a red flag warning until Tuesday morning, according to the Freeborn County sheriff this morning.
Warm temperatures, higher winds and a low humidity index are creating a fire hazard, according to a news release.
Because of these conditions, a burning ban is in place through 7 a.m. Tuesday.
According to the National Weather Service, southwest winds will increase to between 20 and 25 mph with humidities dropping to between 25 and 30 percent.
The agency lists Freeborn County under a hazardous weather outlook, along with neighboring counties of Faribault, Waseca, Blue Earth and Steele counties.
