Man arrested for meth possession, assault

A Minnesota State Patrol trooper arrested Todd Alan Torres for domestic assault and possession of methamphetamine at 11:36 a.m. Wednesday at the intersection of South Broadway and East College Street.

 

Hit-and-run crash reported

A hit-and-run crash was reported at 11:42 a.m. Wednesday at 2200 Riverland Drive. No injuries were reported.

 

Checkbook stolen

A checkbook was reported stolen at 2:29 p.m. Wednesday at 31585 895 Ave. outside Blooming Prairie. The alleged victim noticed the checkbook missing around Aug. 21. The bank was contacted and the account was reportedly closed in August.

 

Man arrested for giving false information 

Freeborn County Sheriff’s Office deputies arrested Kevin Bruce Tiegs for driving after revocation and giving false information to an officer at 11:56 p.m. Wednesday at the intersection of Southeast Broadway and Margaretha Avenue.

 

Stolen truck recovered

A missing truck was reported recovered at 6:35 p.m. Wednesday at 14941 U.S. Highway 69 outside Albert Lea. The truck reportedly had been damaged.
