Riverland Community College will host an inclusion and diversity workshop from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Oct. 23.

Ellen Krug will facilitate “Understanding Diversity and Inclusion” from 10 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. She will cover areas including tools for interacting with diverse humans, courage conversations and understanding transgender persons.

Bukuta Hayes will facilitate “Perspectives,” a business diversity training, from 2 to 4 p.m.

According to a press release, the event is meant to be an interactive, thought-provoking conversation about diversity and a free-flowing exchange about what growing diversity means for the social and economic future of the community.
