Vehicles reported stolen
A 1994 Ford Escort was reported stolen at 2:55 p.m. Friday at 306 E. 11th St. in Albert Lea. The vehicle was reportedly recovered in Renville County.
A 2005 Honda Element was reported stolen at 7:15 p.m. Friday at 101 Shellrock St. in Albert Lea. The alleged victim said she had arrived home about a half hour before and had left her purse and keys in the vehicle. The vehicle was reportedly recovered at 9:32 a.m. Sunday in Steele County. A suspect was reportedly in custody.
Headstones damaged at cemetery
Four cylinder headstones were reported removed from their bases and one vertical headstone was reported tipped over at 12:23 a.m. Saturday at Graceland Cemetery.
Man arrested on warrant
Police arrested Brandon James Roberts, 21, on a local warrant at 4:43 p.m. Saturday at 317 Court St. in Albert Lea. Roberts was also cited for possession of a small amount of marijuana.
Man arrested for drug possessionÂ
Police arrested Benjamin Edward Warner for fifth-degree drug possession and an open bottle violation at 11:05 p.m. Saturday in the 400 block of St. Peter Avenue in Albert Lea.
One arrested; multiple citations issued
The Freeborn County Sheriff’s Office arrested Erin Catherine Murtaugh for gross misdemeanor giving false information to an officer at 2:21 a.m. Saturday at 216 E. Main St. in Alden. Murtaugh was also cited for underage drinking. Derome Jermaine Boatman was cited for possession of a small amount of marijuana and paraphernalia. Paige Arial Boser was cited for underage drinking, Madalynn Rae Thostenson was cited for underage drinking and Luke Alan Stout was cited for an open bottle violation.
Theft reported
Two pieces of Scrimshaw Ivory jewelry were reported stolen at 6:25 p.m. Sunday at 900 Hammer Road in Albert Lea. The jewelry was valued at $850.
