The season for the Albert Lea varsity football team ended in the Section 1AAAA quarterfinals with a 33-8 loss at Red Wing.

However, the Tigers youth program will take in the Friday night lights for the Albert Lea Youth Football Showcase starting at 4:30 p.m. Friday at Jim Gustafson Field, according to a press release.

Albert Lea’s sixth-grade tackle football program will kick off the event at 4:30 p.m. The fourth- and fifth-grade program with the Albert Lea Family Y for Lakeview, Sibley, Halverson and Hawthorne elementary schools is scheduled to play at 5:30 p.m.

Admission is free.
