Christians are being persecuted

Thank you, Vicki Pestorious, for your recent letter to the editor on Nov. 3 entitled “Hatred toward religious people must stop.” I applaud your letter. Yes, Christians, it has begun, just as Jesus said it would. Read Matthew 5:10: “Blessed are they which are perscuted for righteousness sake for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.”

In America, assistant coach Joe Kennedy was fired for acknowledging his religion on the ball field. Talk about persecution there! ISIS is beheading Christians around the world, and we are firing people for following their faith. (Kind of sounds like a milder version of ISIS on our own soil).

Read Matthew 10:32, where Jesus says the following: “Who ever acknowledges me before men, I will acknowledge him before my father in heaven, but whoever disowns me before men, I will disown him before my father in heaven.” Let’s shout this verse from our rooftops! Amen.
