On Tuesday, the Lake Mills volleyball program had two players sign national letters of intent to play college volleyball next season.

Kelsea Heintzman will play for Presentation College in Aberdeen, South Dakota. Madison Shifflett will play for Briar Cliff in Sioux City, Iowa.

The two seniors signed their letters of intent together, in the gym where they played as members of the Lake Mills volleyball program.

“We are proud Bulldogs today, seeing Kelsea and Madison sign together today. Our senior class is very talented and today proves that,” said Lake Mills coach Jim Boehmer. “These two moving on to the college game reflects a lot of hard work by all five of our seniors.

“We spend a lot of time in our program talking about, and trying to teach, life skills. We want all of our kids to apply what they have learned as they move into a new phase of their life. For Kelsea and Madison, it is an opportunity to continue playing.”
