A.L. man charged with selling meth to informant

An Albert Lea man is facing substantial prison time after allegedly selling methamphetamine on two separate occasions to a South Central Drug Task Force informant.
Timothy Lowell Millhouse, 46, was charged Dec. 9 with one count of first-degree sale of controlled substances and one count of second-degree sale of methamphetamine.
Millhouse was arrested Monday on warrants from the charges.
Millhouse’s first appearance on both charges was Tuesday. He entered provisional pleas of not guilty in front of Freeborn County District Court Judge Steven Schwab.
A jury trial on both charges is scheduled for May 10, with a settlement conference scheduled for March 3.
According to charging documents filed Dec.9, Millhouse was charged with the first-degree count after allegedly selling 15.1 grams of meth to an informant for $600 Oct. 19 at Trails Travel Center.
Millhouse was charged with the second-degree count after allegedly selling 7.7 grams of meth to an informant for $350 in the early morning hours of Oct. 14 at Trails Travel Center.
If convicted of first-degree sale of controlled substances, Millhouse faces a maximum sentence of 40 years in prison and a $1 million fine. He faces a mandatory minimum sentence of four years in prison.
If convicted of second-degree sale of methamphetamine, Millhouse faces a maximum sentence of 40 years in prison and a $500,000 fine. He faces a mandatory minimum three-year sentence.
