Truck broken into

A truck was reported broken into and items taken at 10:20 a.m. Thursday at 1208 St. Joseph Ave. A window was reported broken, and $800 worth of sub speakers and a $300 Tiger gas powered scooter were reported taken.

 

1 arrested on warrant

Albert Lea police arrested Steven Anthony Moreno, 25, on a felony violation order for a controlled substance crime at 12:02 p.m. Thursday at 1525 Margaretha Ave.

 

Fuel pump taken

A fuel pump was reported taken at 2:33 p.m. Thursday at 801 Frank Ave. A call was reportedly made to the auto parts store where the alleged victim purchased it, and someone reportedly tried to return it. The alleged victim reportedly paid $236 for the fuel pump.

 

Tires on multiple vehicles slashed

The driver’s side tires on two vehicles were reported slashed at 6:36 a.m. Thursday at 621 Ulstad Ave. Damage was estimated at $500.

Two tires were reported slashed on a 1990 Mazda Protege at 7:45 a.m. Thursday at 803 Valley St.

Tires were reported slashed on a 2003 Chevy Venture at 2:01 p.m. Thursday at 606 Minnesota Ave.

Lt. Darren Hanson of the Albert Lea Police Department said the incidents could all be related and are still under investigation.

 

1 arrested for drug possession

Police arrested William Edward Scheler, 23, for fifth-degree drug possession at 1:37 a.m. Friday at 1210 E. Main St.

 

1 arrested for restraining order violation

Police arrested Narciso Sanchez, 34, for a harassment restraining order violation at 2:11 a.m. Friday at 920 W. Front St.

 

Forged checks reported

A check forgery was reported at 5:13 p.m. Thursday at 910 Luther Place. The alleged victim said his account was low, and he noticed checks he didn’t write.
