Alice Bankester, 1922-2016

Alice Bankester, 93, peacefully went home to be with the Lord with her family by her side on Friday, Jan. 1, 2016.

Alice was born on April 25, 1922, in Chicago to Robert and Agnes Saha and ministered with her husband, the Rev. William Bankester, in Hollandale; Freeport, Illinois; and Mazeppa.

She is survived by her husband of 72 years, William Bankester; children David (Jane), Anita Reagan (Jim) and Philip (Dorene); 10 grandchildren; and 17 great-grandchildren.

A memorial service will be sometime in the spring.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations be made to New Richland Care Center.

She will be dearly missed, but her family rejoices in the fact that she is at peace with her Lord.
