He’s accused in the indictment of having a Glock 17 9mm fully automatic handgun, two pistols and a rifle on Dec. 8, the day he was arrested by the North Iowa Narcotics Task Force’s Special Operations Group.

Local police blocked access to Gracious Estates mobile home park, where Andersen was arrested, during the multi-agency operation.

No one was hurt.

Andersen is also accused in the indictment of having methamphetamine with intent to distribute and carrying a Glock 42 .380-caliber pistol during and in relation to a drug-trafficking crime.

He also faces state drug and weapons charges for the alleged incidents on Dec. 8.

Andersen was previously found with a live hand grenade during a 2006 arrest. In 2012 he was involved in a brief standoff with the police tactical team.

He reportedly led authorities on a high-speed chase in June in Freeborn County, reaching speeds near 100 mph. He ultimately crashed and got away on foot.

He remained held without bond on Monday at the Cerro Gordo County Jail in Mason City.
