Mayo Clinic Health System in Albert Lea and Austin welcomes Heidi Gaston to the OB-GYN department on the Albert Lea campus.

Gaston received her medical degree from Kirksville College of Osteopathic Medicine in Kirksville, Missouri, and completed a residency in OB-GYN at Genesys Regional Medical Center in Grand Blanc, Michigan. She comes to the Albert Lea campus from the Austin campus and will begin seeing patients on Tuesday.

She has a special interest in adolescent health, general obstetrics and gynecology, minimally invasive surgery, contraception management, uterine fibroids, menorrhagia (heavy menstrual bleeding) and providing preventive health education. Gaston grew up in Glenville and is a 2003 graduate of Glenville-Emmons High School.
