Scholarships are available

According to a press release, the Naeve Hospital Auxiliary will award three $1,000 scholarships to graduating high school seniors in the Mayo Clinic Health System in Albert Lea service area that have selected the medical field as their chosen vocation. They will also award two $1,000 scholarships to non-traditional students.
Non-traditional students, defined as those who are pursuing post-secondary education five or more years after completing high school or receiving a GED. To be eligible, students must live within Albert Lea service area and plan an education in the healthcare field.
All scholarships are provided on the basis of academic ability, leadership, commitment and character. Complete scholarship information and applications are available from counselors in area high schools or at the medical center. The scholarship information and applications can also be accessed at www.mayoclinichealthsystem.org under locations, choose Albert Lea and click online services and then scholarships.
Applications must be returned to Kari Hall, volunteer coordinator at Mayo Clinic Health System, 404 W. Fountain St., Albert Lea, MNĀ 56007 by March 1.
Applications will be reviewed by the Naeve Hospital Auxiliary Scholarship Committee. Those receiving scholarships will be notified in late March.
