The Southern Plains Football League is bringing back the Winter Pigskin Classic Dec. 17, which will be an all-day event featuring up to five games between the teams of the SPFL, according to a press release.

The WPC will be at U.S. Bank Stadium, home to the Minnesota Vikings, which opens in August.

“This will be a memorable event for our players and coaches, as well as our fans to have an experience that many can only dream of,” said SPFL Commissioner Jay Doyscher. “We last did this event as a league in 2012 and had near-100 percent participation from our teams and a terrific turnout from our fan base league-wide. To secure the ability to play in the newest stadium in the NFL, in its inaugural season, is an incredible opportunity for our players and fans to have a memory that will likely last a lifetime.”
