Trump was nothing like media portrays

There was a recent Tribune editorial opinion piece on Trump titled: “What Happened to respect?” highlighting Trump’s comment at the Clear Lake rally regarding the media.

Trump stated the media were among the biggest liars, pointing out the media in the back. I was there, front and center. The crowd roared.

The Tribune editorial staff is no different than any other media source in letting their political leanings known, as demonstrated by the photo strategically chosen for the front page of the Tribune, showing Trump with a twisted face. No group has been more disrespectful, knit-picky and biased in their reporting of Trump than the media. The media’s ridicule and bias and half stories have been blatantly obvious from the onset. Candidates have been revered and favorably highlighted by the media — except Trump.

So to the Tribune editorial staff, respect is a two-way street.

Having had the opportunity to meet Mr. Trump, I was impressed with him being so gracious, grateful and accessible.

He is nothing like the persona the media portrays.
