17 cited for underage drinking

Albert Lea police cited 17 juveniles for underage drinking at a party at 3:05 a.m. Sunday at 1029 Bridge Ave. Police cited one juvenile for a social host.

 

2 cited for underage drinking

Albert Lea police cited Hannah Laura Schwemmler, 18 and Hallie Anita Cantu, 18, for underage drinking at 1:16 a.m. Sunday at 1811 E. Main St. Three juveniles were cited for possessing small amount of marijuana, according to Albert Lea Police Department Lt. Darren Hanson.

 

Theft by fraud reported

A debit card was reportedly used fraudulently at 2:35 p.m. Friday at Walmart.

A debit card number was fraudulently used once in Albert Lea and twice in Buffalo, Minnesota, at 4:08 p.m. Friday.

Debit card fraud was reported at 8:14 p.m. Friday at Walmart. The card was reportedly used in Albert Lea and Fairmont Walmarts.

A couple thousand dollars in credit card fraud was reported at 11:30 a.m. Sunday at 1310 Oriole Drive.

 

5 arrested on warrants

Police arrested Joseph Lee Marlin, 33, on a local warrant for theft at 8:05 p.m. Friday at the intersection of West Clark Street and South Washington Avenue.

Police cited Nelson Glen Thompson, 47, on a local warrant at 11:56 a.m. Sunday at Freeborn County Law Enforcement Center.

Freeborn County Sheriff’s Office deputies arrested Vaughan Lee Smalley, 33, on a local warrant at 7:56 p.m. Sunday at 300 Main St. in Hartland.

Deputies arrested a juvenile on a warrant at 9:18 p.m. Sunday at 2233 Gene Ave.

Deputies arrested John Michael Nolt, 27, on a warrant at 3:02 a.m. today.

 

1 cited for trespassing, assault

Albert Lea police cited Terrance Durum Edwards, 31, for trespassing and misdemeanor theft at 12:01 a.m. Saturday at 2717 Bridge Ave. Edwards was cited after an alarm was triggered at Hy-Vee Gas.

Edwards was cited for disorderly conduct and fifth-degree assault at 11:38 a.m. Saturday at 404 Fountain St. He was cited after reportedly assaulting another patient.

 

Tools stolen

Tools were reported stolen at 9:45 a.m. Saturday at 1206 James Ave. The tools had a reported value of $150 and were taken sometime Friday night. No suspects were reported.

Plumbing tools and a toolbox were reported stolen at 12:27 p.m. Saturday at 518 E. Fourth St. The items were last seen Wednesday.

 

Cellphone charger stolen

A cellphone charger was reported stolen at 12:14 p.m. Sunday at 2751 E. Main St.

 

Man reportedly exposes himself

A white male in his 30s to 40s was reportedly exposing himself to all truck cabs at 1:20 a.m. Sunday at 2751 E. Main St. No arrests were reported.
