Two Austin residents were injured Thursday afternoon after a vehicle rear-ended a tow truck on Interstate 90 in eastern Freeborn County.

Rosanna Ray, 31, and Tesluoch Dak, 33, were transported to Mayo Clinic Health System in Austin with injuries deemed not life-threatening.

According to the Minnesota State Patrol, Ray was driving a 2000 Chevy Venture east on Interstate 90 shortly after 1 p.m., when she reportedly lost control of the vehicle one mile west of the Freeborn and Mower county line on a slushy roadway and rear-ended a 2010 Dodge Ram tow truck. The truck was unoccupied and was stopped to pull a vehicle out of the median.
