3 to 6 inches of snow expected

The National Weather Service has issued a winter weather advisory for Albert Lea and much of the surrounding area through noon Sunday with a possibility of between 3 and 6 inches of snow.
Snow was expected to develop around 9 p.m. Saturday and diminish around noon Sunday, with the heaviest snowfall rates expected between midnight and 6 a.m. Sunday.
The Weather Service advised people to expect reduced visibilities at times and to plan on slippery road conditions.
Use caution while driving, and be prepared for snow-covered roads.
A wind chill advisory for the area has been canceled.
