Albert Lea under another blizzard watch Sunday

The Albert Lea area is under a blizzard watch Sunday afternoon into early Monday as heavy winds combined with falling snow are expected to create considerable blowing and drifting snow.
The watch, for southwest and portions of south central Minnesota, extends west of a line from Alexandria to Albert Lea.
Wind gusts of 40 to 50 mph are expected to develop over much of the area by Sunday afternoon and last through Monday morning. Whiteout conditions are possible, and travel will likely be difficult because of blowing and drifting snow.
Total snow accumulations of up to 2 inches of new snow are likely.
The watch is also in effect for northern Iowa, including Worth and Winnebago counties.
The Weather Service stated visibilities may drop below one-quarter of a mile for an extended period.
People are advised to use caution while driving and to be prepared in case of an emergency.
