Barbara L. Anderson, 80, of Albert Lea, formerly of Mankato, died Thursday, Feb. 11, 2016, in Albert Lea. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m., Thursday at Mt. Olive Lutheran Church in Mankato. Visitation will be from 9:30 a.m. until the time of service at church.

Barb was born June 26, 1935, to Arthur and Marie (Gerlitz) Weigt in Waseca. On June 18, 1955, she married Donald Anderson at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Mankato. Together they raised four children, Diane, David, John and Lisa. She was a member of Mt. Olive Lutheran Church.

Some of Barb’s favorite activities included collecting and reading Laura Ingles Wilder books, watching the Waltons and chatting with many family members and friends. She especially loved being with family. She will be greatly missed by many.

Barb is survived by her husband, Donald, of over 60 years; children Diane (Randy) Wolpern of

Montgomery, David (Lisa) Anderson of Hudson, Wisconsin, John (Lori) Anderson of Newnan, Georgia, and Lisa (Brian) Hartmann of New Prague; 13 grandchildren; one great-grandchild; sister, Audrey (Richard) Lueck; and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

She is preceded in death by her parents, and granddaughter, Lennie Marie.
