Daniel James Reichel, 42, of Lakeville, formerly of North Mankato, passed away suddenly and peacefully in his sleep of cardiac arrest Sunday, Feb. 14, 2016.

Memorial services will be at 2 p.m Saturday at Northview-North Mankato Mortuary. Visitation will be from noon to 2 p.m. Saturday at Northview-North Mankato Mortuary.

Danny was born June 5, 1973, in Waseca to Dann (Boom) and Eileen Reichel. He grew up in Mankato with his parents and younger brother, Ben Reichel. Dan was a graduate of Mankato West High School. Danny graduated from Riverland Technical College with a construction electrician diploma and completed his apprenticeship training. As a journeyman electrician he was employed by the city of Minneapolis and was a member of IBEW Local Union 292.

Danny was an amazing and dedicated father, son, friend and co-worker. He enjoyed spending time with his family fishing, hunting, playing video games and just being together. He brought a ray of sunshine and a warm sense of humor to everyone he came in contact with, touching the hearts of whomever had the pleasure of meeting him. Danny will be missed dearly and cherished forever by all of his loved ones.

Danny survives through his daughters Sydne and Ellie Reichel of Albert Lea; fiancée, Donnell Hauck of Lakeville; his parents Dann and Eileen Reichel of Mankato; brother, Ben, and his wife, Jenn Reichel; nephew and niece Ethan and Addie of Cottage Grove; and many other family and friends.
