ST. PAUL — The state has suspended the license of a child care provider after a toddler died in her Anoka County home.
Sheriff’s investigators said the death of 1-year-old Cameron Lange was accidental. Authorities said the boy was trying to climb out of a portable bed when he was fatally injured last week.
The Department of Human Services ordered the Circle Pines day care provider to suspend her business while investigators look into the death.
Sheriff’s Cmdr. Paul Sommer said while the death appears to be accidental, it doesn’t relieve the child care provider of culpability. According to a press release, the child’s funeral was held Thursday at Shepherd of the Hills Church in Shoreview.
