MANCHESTER — No injuries were reported Thursday afternoon from a house fire in Manchester.
According to the Freeborn County Sheriff’s Office, the fire, at 113 McKinley St., began in the attic at about 4 p.m.
Four people reportedly exited the house safely after becoming aware of the fire.
Smoke was reportedly visible when first responders arrived, and the fire was put out later that afternoon, according to Manchester Fire Chief Cory Hoerler.
The State Fire Marshal’s Office has been called in to investigate.
Freeborn, Clarks Grove and Hartland fire departments assisted the Manchester Fire Department on scene.
Freeborn County online property records list the home’s owner as Michael Haukoos.
Haukoos and another woman were arrested Tuesday in connection to two burglaries in Albert Lea. It is unclear if there is any connection.
