The Cannon Valley Civil War Roundtable will meet at 7 p.m. Feb. 18 at Faribault Senior Center, at 19 W. Division Street in Faribault. According to a press release ,there will be questions and answers with decaf coffee and desserts after the presentation.

The presenter, Denis Warta, was born in 1927, and  had two Civil War veterans as friends from his hometown of New Ulm. He will speak on the oddities of the Civil War, including the nun who found the body of her brother just after the Battle of Gettysburg. Warta, a Navy veteran, knew and was a close friend of the late Nobel Peace Prize winner Norman Borlaug.

The roundtable meeting is free and open to the public.
