Two injured in Freeborn County crash

Two Austin residents were injured this afternoon after a vehicle rear-ended a tow truck on Interstate 90 in eastern Freeborn County.

A Chevy Venture driven by Rosanna Ray, 31, was heading east on Interstate 90 shortly after 1 p.m., according to Minnesota State Patrol.

The vehicle reportedly lost control one mile west of the Freeborn and Mower county line on a slushy roadway and rear-ended an unoccupied tow truck that was stopped to pull a vehicle out of the median.

A state trooper was reportedly present.

Ray and Tesluoch Dak, 33, a passenger in the vehicle, were transported to Mayo Clinic Health System in Austin with injuries deemed not life-threatening.

The crash took place at 1:12 p.m.

No alcohol was detected.
