Virginia Busho, 1925-2016

Virginia Busho, 90, of Ellendale passed away Thursday, Feb. 18, 2016, at Homestead Hospice House in Owatonna from complications of congestive heart failure.

Virginia was born Oct. 7, 1925, in Medford to Albert and Rose Webb. She married her high school sweetheart, Robert, and they were married for 62 years. Virginia worked at Owatonna Canning Co., Pete and Rube’s Market and ended her career as Ellendale postmaster. She was active in the American Legion Auxiliary, her local church and loved baking and handiwork — especially crocheting and sewing.

Virginia is survived by daughter-in-law, Mary Busho, of Nisswa and her son, Brad Busho, and his wife, Kori, and their children Kelsi and Kole; daughter, Emily Otto, and her husband, Larry, of Ellendale and their children Bethany Mikesell and her children, Kiyah and Hope, and Josh Otto and Kristin Castle and their children Peyton, Kaydence, Avery, Kyah and Kenley; daughter, Pam Wachholz, and her daughter, Bailey, of Nisswa; sister-in-law, Arlene Busho, of Ellendale; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Robert; son, Vern Busho; son-in-law, Duane Wachholz; sisters Barbara and Joyce Verplank and Sharon Solem; brother-in-law, Waylen; and sister-in-law, Judi.

A memorial service will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Ellendale United Methodist Church. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church. A luncheon will follow the service.
