2 arrested for possessing stolen property

Albert Lea police arrested Rebecca Guzman Lee, 34, and Cory Glenn Flatness, 33, for possessing stolen property at 6:31 a.m. Monday at 2317 Consul St.

Lee and Flatness were arrested after reportedly possessing a stolen trailer that was from Auto Serve.

The Auto Serve building was reportedly damaged while the trailer was stolen.

At the scene, police also arrested Francisco Trevino, 46, on a Mower County warrant.

 

Dryer fire reported

No injuries were reported from a dryer fire at 8:58 a.m. Monday at 2320 Hendrickson Road. The fire was reportedly started by lint inside the dryer while it was operating. Upon arrival, the Albert Lea Fire Department observed smoke and smoldering and was able to put the fire out within minutes. The building was reportedly not damaged. Some electrical wiring was reportedly burned on the dryer.

 

Theft by fraud reported

Two sets of fraudulent charges totaling $800 were reported at 12:32 p.m. Monday at 2708 Bridge Ave. A suspect reportedly left in a black Kia Soul. The car reportedly registered to a Minneapolis man born in 1945.

Two separate charges totaling $110 on an account from Target were reported at 1 p.m. Monday at 127 N. Second Ave.

Fraudulent charges in the amount of $450 were reported at 4:41 p.m. Monday at 1004 Bridge Ave.

 

1 arrested
on warrant

A juvenile female was arrested on a misdemeanor warrant for underage drinking at 2:10 p.m. Monday at Freeborn County Law Enforcement Center. The juvenile was taken to court.

 

Vehicle tabs stolen

Someone reportedly took the tabs off of a vehicle at 2:30 p.m. Monday behind Jake’s Pizza.

 

Gas drive-off reported

A gas drive-off was reported at 3:49 p.m. Monday at 23087 Minnesota Highway 13. An employee at SuperAmerica reportedly noticed that three males were in a vehicle, pumped more than $22 in gas, reportedly had no money and forgot their debit card. The vehicle was reportedly last seen heading east on Interstate 90.

 

Suspicious activity reported

An 8- to 10-year-old boy was reportedly pointing a gun at vehicles as they went by at 4:42 p.m. Monday at 14640 750th Ave., outside Glenville. The boy and parents were reportedly spoken to.
