2 injured in Freeborn County crash

Two Austin residents were injured Thursday morning in a rollover crash in eastern Freeborn County.

According to the Minnesota State Patrol, a 2004 Chevy Colorado driven by Eloisa Fernando Rubio, 48, was heading west on Interstate 90, a few miles east of Oakland, when she lost control of the vehicle.

The vehicle reportedly entered a ditch and rolled shortly after 11:30 a.m.

Fernando Rubio and passenger Fernando S. Fernando, 22, were transported to Mayo Clinic Health System in Albert Lea with injuries deemed not life-threatening.

According to the State Patrol, passengers Aracely Silvia Fernanado, 16, and Emanuel Silva Fernando, 15, were reportedly not injured.

The vehicle reportedly entered the ditch and rolled.

Roads were icy at the time of the crash.

Alcohol was reportedly not a factor.
