Man to speak on experiences at breakfast

Published 9:05 am Friday, March 18, 2016

At 7:30 a.m. March 26, First Presbyterian Church will host its annual men’s breakfast with special guest speaker Rob Roozeboom from Sheldon, Iowa. Like many small-town boys growing up in the Midwest, Roozeboom’s desire was to be a farmer and an athlete. Muscular dystrophy cut short both those dreams while he was still in his teens. But that was the beginning of his story, not the end. Today, Roozeboom is a man on a mission “to take what I’ve been dealt with and use it to affect the lives of others.” He has spoken all over the country, sharing his story and inspiring others to dream new dreams. Don’t miss this event, which includes a hearty, man-sized breakfast and lots of laughs and fun. There will be free-will offering for the breakfast and all men of the community are invited to attend; however, you must call the church at 373-2035 to reserve your spots.
