ST. PAUL — Police said a young woman was killed and her mother was injured when they were struck by an SUV while walking in St. Paul.

The two were hit near the Minnesota Historical Society about 8 p.m. Tuesday. They were taken to Regions Hospital where the 24-year-old daughter was pronounced dead. There’s no word on the mother’s condition.

The driver of the SUV is cooperating with police.
