Local student graduates

Emily Goskeson of Albert Lea recently graduated from Ridgewater College with an Associate of Applied Science degree in the activity director program.

 

Senior receives scholarship

Jonathan “Herbie” Lein, a senior at Albert Lea High School, was recently awarded the Dakota State University Champion Scholarship. The scholarship is awarded to high-achieving students based on ACT scores and high school grade point average.

Lein will attend Dakota State University in Madison, South Dakota, in the fall to pursue a degree in cyber operations. Lein is the son of Kathie and Ross Lein of Albert Lea.

Creighton University celebrates commencement

Creighton University conferred more than 1,700 degrees during its two 2016 commencement ceremonies May 14 at CenturyLink Center in Omaha, Nebraska. Among its graduates were Catherine Adams of Lake Mills and Kaylee Evans of Freeborn.
