Ryan Michael Moore, 29, of St. Louis Park passed away Friday, May 6, 2016, after a courageous battle with leukemia.
Ryan was born March 10, 1987, in Albert Lea to Michael Moore and Suzanne Cordes. He graduated from Albert Lea High School and graduated from the University of St. Thomas in 2009. He worked professionally in the field of finance. He was an avid golfer, retired high school and college basketball player, and was very
passionate about all sports — especially his beloved Minnesota teams. He enjoyed spending time at the cabin, expressed such enthusiasm with new adventures and loved experiencing life with his family and friends. He was kind-hearted, bright, energetic, silly and curious. Ryan’s contagious personality brightened up any room and he was guaranteed to make you smile and feel special. Ryan embodied living life to the fullest and his love of life was only surpassed by his love for his beautiful wife, who was his unwavering companion to the very end. No words can describe just how much he will be missed.
He is survived by wife, Jessica; parents Michael and Suzanne Moore; sister, Anne (Robert) Long; nieces Evelyn, Kara and Harper Long; father-in-law and mother-in-law Eddie and Kim Marx; brother-in-law, Taylor (Melissa Zeilner) Marx; and grandparents William J. Moore and Wilbur and Greta Cordes.
Ryan was preceded in death by grandmother, Mary C. Moore.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Westwood Lutheran Church, 9001 Cedar Lake Road in St. Louis Park. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday at Thomson-Dougherty Mansion, 2535 Park Ave. in Minneapolis, and one hour prior to the service at the church.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to the Leukemia Foundation or to the family to provide a scholarship in Ryan’s name at a later date.
