1 arrested for drunken driving

Albert Lea police arrested Jay Reece Norman, 33, for fourth-degree driving while intoxicated, third-degree test refusal and gross misdemeanor obstruction during a traffic stop at 2:19 a.m. today at the intersection of East Main Street and Prospect Avenue.

 

1 taken to jail on warrant

Thomas Aaron Laite, 23, was reportedly taken to jail on a local warrant at 1:04 p.m. Wednesday at 411 S. Broadway Ave.

 

Domestic incident reported

A male was reported as having held a knife to a female’s neck at 8:34 p.m. Wednesday in Albert Lea. The male reportedly left in a dark green Saturn with no plate with a female driver. Police are looking for the suspect.

Items stolen

One pair of black Adidas shoes were reported stolen at 11:20 a.m. Wednesday at Shoe Sensation, 2526 Bridge Ave. Two teenage suspects were identified. A juvenile male was reportedly brought to the Freeborn County Law Enforcement Center, where his father picked him up.

A bicycle was reported stolen at 9:12 p.m. Wednesday at 1805 S.E. Marshall St. The suspect was described as a 17-year-old boy. He reportedly stole the bike valued at $459 between Tuesday night and Wednesday morning from 1908 Bimelich Lane.

A gas drive-off of $44.61 was reported at 9:11 p.m. Wednesday at 23087 Minnesota Highway 13. The vehicle — described as silver with a white plate with an unknown state — reportedly went west on Interstate 90.

 

Theft by fraud reported

Theft by fraud was reported at 9:16 a.m. Wednesday at 800 S. Fourth Ave.
