2 injured in crash near Twin Lakes

TWIN LAKES — Two people were injured Saturday afternoon after a motorcycle and car collided on U.S. Highway 69 in Twin Lakes.
The motorcyclist, Rebecca Collins, 39, of Albert Lea, was reportedly seriously injured and was flown from the scene to Rochester. The driver of the car, Kenneth Keesling Sr., 84, of Twin Lakes received injuries deemed not life-threatening, according to the Minnesota State Patrol.
The State Patrol report indicates Keesling was driving a 2001 Buick Park Avenue eastbound on Freeborn County Road 16. Collins was riding a 2003 Honda motorcycle south on Highway 69, when the motorcycle and car collided at the intersection shortly after 3 p.m.
The report indicated no alcohol was detected.
Collins was not wearing a helmet, and Keesling was wearing his seat belt, according to the report.
Collins condition was listed as critical as of press time.
The Freeborn County Sheriff’s Office, Gold Cross Ambulance and Twin Lakes and Emmons fire departments responded.
