LA CRESCENT — Police in southeastern Minnesota are investigating a stabbing at an intersection in a small Mississippi River community that left two adults and a young child with injuries.
Investigators said the three got out of a car with Wisconsin license plates at an intersection in La Crescent about 5:30 p.m. Tuesday. Witness Charles Rislow said a bleeding woman was cradling a small child and screaming. Rislow said a man got out of the car covered in blood, staggered and collapsed.
Police Chief Doug Stavenau said it appeared the stabbings were the result of a domestic incident that began in the car and spilled into the street.
