A country singer and songwriter who performed at the Tree Town Festival in Forest City last weekend will be the fifth entertainer at this summer’s Freeborn County Fair.
Chris Janson will perform Aug. 3 at the Grandstand.
Other entertainers previously announced are rock ‘n’ roll legend Ted Nugent, country duo Locash, country singer and songwriter Jerrod Niemann, and The Charlie Daniels Band.
Originally from Missouri, Janson released his biggest song in 2015 titled “Buy Me a Boat.” “Buy Me a Boat” became a Top 5 hit on Hot Country Songs in 2015 and was even awarded the iHeartRadio Music Award for Country Song of the Year.
In addition to his own music, Janson has written songs for Justin Moore and Tim McGraw.
Performances begin at 8:30 p.m. each night in the Grandstand.
Tickets are available at midwestix.com. Tickets are $30 for reserved seats or standing room directly in front of the stage. Otherwise, admission is free with the $10 gate admission to get into the fair.
