Ellendale Days to host events for the whole family

ELLENDALE — Ellendale Days is Thursday through Sunday and will feature events fit for the whole family.

Festivities kick off when the Dan Stursa Band takes the stage at 7 p.m. Thursday.

Bingo night will also be that night in the Ellendale Community Building.

Registration for the 5k Glow Run begins at 7 p.m. at City Park. Attendees are asked to wear clothing that lights up or glows. Proceeds will benefit new playground equipment.

On Friday is movie night, sponsored by Ellendale Ambulance Department. The B-Side Band performs at 7 p.m., and a Lions Club meat raffle will also take place that night.

On Saturday, citywide garage sales begin at 7 a.m., followed by a beanbag toss at 10 a.m. behind the liquor store. A car show will be by the bus shed and will be sponsored by Ellendale Lions Club. Turtle races will also be June 25.

A parade will be at 4 p.m. Saturday along Main Street, and a pork chop supper is from 5 to 7 p.m.

Roger and Todd Utpadel will perform from 7 to 8 p.m. on the community garden stage. A petting zoo will also be in town and will be sponsored by a 4-H club.

A teen dance begins at 8 p.m., with an adult street dance behind the liquor store running from 9 p.m. to midnight.

A veterans’ memorial Smuseum will be available during the weekend.

A community church service is at 10 a.m. Sunday at the park, followed by a lunch sponsored by Ellendale Lions Club. Donations will be accepted. A tractor pull will be at noon by the ball fields and will be sponsored by the Ellendale Lions Club.

Family movie night at community center

7 to 9 p.m.: The B-Side Band performs on community stage

7 p.m.: Lions Club meat raffle

9:30 p.m. to 12:30 a.m.: Music by High Adventure behind the bar and sportsmen’s club food stand

 

Saturday 

8 a.m.: NRHEG Wrestling Golf Classic at Riverview Golf Course

8 a.m.: Citywide garage sales

9 a.m.: Car show down by the bus garage

9 a.m. to 2 p.m.: Craft and vendor show next to Floors 4U

10 a.m.: Bean bag tournament behind the bar

10 a.m.: Canvas painting at the community building

2 p.m.: Happy Feet Dance Studio performs on stage

4 p.m.: Parade

4 to 7 p.m.: Children’s games behind the bank

5 p.m.: Turtle races

5 to 7 p.m.: Pork chop supper

6 to 8  p.m.: Kiddie tractor pull

7 to 8 p.m.: Todd and Roger Utpadel perform on the community stage

8 p.m. to midnight: Teen dance at the community building

9 p.m. to 12:30 a.m.: Street dance with Wicked Renegade and sportsmen’s food stand

 

Sunday

10 a.m.: Community church service at city park with Lions Club lunch after service

11 a.m.: Tractor pull
