Ronald Jacobson, 60, of 62789 285th St. said he believes things on the county board are becoming too much of the same and wants to change things up and bring a new perspective to the board.

Jacobson has lived in the Freeborn area his entire life. After retiring from farming he ran for office approximately 20 years ago, but hopes this will be the time he will be elected.

Taxes and road conditions are two issues that are important to him. Jacobson said he thinks taxes are too high, and he wants answers to why so much is being spent.

As for the issue of road conditions, Jacobson said he thinks many roads are in poor shape and need to be fixed.

Jacobson has a son and a daughter as well as two grandchildren.
