Scams reported

A scam phone call was reported at 12:31 p.m. Tuesday at 1013 Dunham St. Someone reported receiving a call from a California number saying she had won $2.4 million. After the person told the party not to contact her again, they reportedly called back making threats.

Someone was reported as having been scammed out of $1,299 at 3:53 p.m. Tuesday at 314 S. Broadway. The caller, described as a male with an Asian accent, reportedly called from four different numbers and claimed to be from the U.S. government offering a testing refund of $11,000 if money was sent to them via iTunes gift cards. The alleged victim was reportedly unable to get the money back.
