MINNEAPOLIS — A 29-year-old woman has pleaded guilty to driving drunk and killing a motorcyclist in northeast Minneapolis in November.

Hannah Weyh pleaded guilty Friday in Hennepin County to criminal vehicular homicide. She admitted in court that she had been drinking on Nov. 8 when she got into her car and drove west on Broadway. Weyh was turning left into a parking lot when a motorcycle driven by 31-year-old Brandon Pearson of Golden Valley smashed into her front end, killing him.

Prosecutors said Weyh had a blood-alcohol content at the time of the crash of 0.19 percent — more than twice the legal limit of 0.08 percent for driving in Minnesota.

According to a press release, Weyh contended the motorcycle’s lights were not on, but witnesses contradicted her. She’ll be sentenced in August.
