1 arrested for drug possession
Freeborn County Sheriff’s Office deputies arrested Joshua Brandon Cochran, 27, for first-degree and fifth-degree drug possession at 3:18 a.m. Monday on Interstate 35, near the Hartland and Geneva exits. Cochran was reportedly on probation in Dakota County at the time of the arrest.
Domestic assault reported
A domestic assault was reported at 2:03 p.m. Thursday at 607 1/2 Grace Street.
Items damaged
All tires on a car were reported slashed at 2:37 p.m. Sunday at 308 1/2 E. William St.
Flower pots were reported smashed at 9:40 a.m. Friday at 613 Ruble Ave. The pots were reportedly taken from the address and smashed in the alley and sidewalk across the street at 628 Ruble Ave. sometime Thursday night. Damage was estimated at $10.
Flowers and a flower pot were reported damaged at 6:02 p.m. Friday at 501 Albert Lea St. Damage was estimated at $50-$75.
A scratch on a trunk of a sky blue and silver 2006 Chevy Impala was reported at 10 p.m. Sunday at 509 Freeborn Ave. Damage was estimated at $100. No suspects were identified.
DANCO violation reported
A domestic abuse no contact order violation was reported at 8:25 p.m. Friday at 411 S. Broadway.
Sex crime involving child reported
A sex crime with a child victim was reported at 12:46 p.m. Saturday in Albert Lea.
Identity theft reported
Identity theft was reported at 12:48 p.m. Monday at 1609 Bridge Ave.
Items stolen
A theft of a dark black and green bicycle described as having a bigger seat was reported at 1:05 p.m. Saturday at 820 S. Fourth Ave.
A tire and rim were reported stolen at 10 a.m. Monday at 821 Plaza St.
Tool documentation was reported stolen at 3:14 p.m. Monday at 115 W. College St.
1 arrested after sex crime with a child reported
Albert Lea police arrested Lee Vincent Wells, 35, after a sex crime with a child victim was reported at 10:05 a.m. Sunday at 522 W. College St.
1 arrested for theft at Walmart
Police cited one person for theft and allowing an open bottle at 9:11 p.m. Saturday at Walmart. The name of the person was not available.
1 arrested for drug paraphernalia
Police arrested Albert Sidney Allen Jr., 45, for drug paraphernalia and driving after revocation at 12:16 a.m. Sunday at the intersection of South St. Mary Avenue and West William Street. Allen Jr. was planned to be held on an apprehension and detention order.
1 arrested for drunken driving
Police arrested Christine Marie Sweat, 29, for fourth-degree driving while intoxicated and small amount of marijuana at 2:35 a.m. Sunday at the intersection of East Main Street and Shellrock Street.
2 arrested on warrants
Police arrested Tommy Melendez, 24, on a Freeborn County warrant for domestic assault by strangulation at 1:43 a.m. Sunday at 134 W. William St.
Police arrested Timothy John Steven, 32, on a warrant for misdemeanor no proof of insurance and driving after suspension at 12:39 a.m. Sunday at the intersection of East Eighth Street and Frank Avenue.
Domestic incident reported
At least five person were reported involved in a physical fight at 8:26 p.m. Monday in Albert Lea. No weapons were reportedly seen.
