2 arrested in traffic stop

Freeborn County Sheriff’s Office deputies arrested Melvin Cole, 19, for fifth-degree drug sale, misdemeanor speeding, no Minnesota driver’s license and misdemeanor giving false information at 6:46 p.m. Friday on Interstate 90 westbound, east of Interstate 35. One juvenile was reportedly booked and released for misdemeanor giving false information.

 

Smoke in house reported

Smoke in a house was reported at 8:45 a.m. Friday at 75767 Gooseberry Lane. An electric motor for an air conditioner unit was reported as locking up and shorting.
