2 charged with killing suspected drug informant

OWATONNA— Prosecutors said two men accused of fatally shooting a man in Steele County believed he was a drug informant.
According to a press release, the two men are expected to make initial court appearances in Steele County District Court today.
The body of 22-year-old Richard Jurgensen, of Medford, was found on the side of the road in rural Steele County June 26. Investigators said the victim was found with his hands bound and had been shot numerous times.
According to a press release, law enforcement records show no mention of Jurgensen as a police informant. Both men were arrested Tuesday.
