Harold Riemann, 1924-2016

Memorial services for Harold “Harry” F. Riemann of Albert Lea will be at 1 p.m.  Friday, at Bonnerup Funeral Service in Albert Lea. The Rev. Don Rose will officiate. Interment will be in First Lutheran Cemetery in Ellendale. Friends may visit with family one hour before the service at the funeral home.

Harry died Wednesday, July 13, 2016, at St. Therese of New Hope. He was 92.

He was born March 13, 1924, in Redwood Falls, the son of Fredrick and Ann (Golmer) Riemann. Harry attended school in Ellendale, then served his country in the United States Army during the Korean War. When he returned from the war he worked at Queen Stoves, retiring after 43 years.

Harry enjoyed camping, fishing and was a great pool player. He enjoyed heading to Texas for the winter with special friend, Ruth Stencel, for more than 20 years.

He has lived in Brooklyn Center with son, Rick, and his wife, Debbie.

In addition to Rick and Debbie, he is survived by their children, Kimberly Riemann, and children Antonio and Jaxen, Stephanie Spaeth and her husband, Michael, of Phoenix, Allison Riemann, and children Kaden, Tanner and Jase Carlson; his daughter, Rhonda Schroeder, of Zeeland, Michigan, and her children Brock Vietor of Boston, Neelie Vietor and son, Cohen Shults, of Zeeland and Meagan Carlson and her husband, Keith, of Holland, Michigan.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and grandson, Scott Riemann.

Harry will be greatly missed and memories of his dry, ever present sense of humor will always bring smiles to the faces of family and friends.
